Fabricated pocket assemblies are manufactured in seamless 316/316L stainless steel tube, plugged and welded into a 316/316L stainless steel body or flange. Solid drilled thermowells are machined from barstock which is gun-drilled and where appropriate welded to a flange. In addition, thermowells can be supplied manufactured from a single piece forging.

H&b Sensors offer thermowells manufactured as standard in stainless steels. Other materials such as Carbon Steel, Brass, HastelloyTM, Monel, Titanium, Alloy 600, duplex and Super Duplex stainless steels are available, also cladding of process wetted parts is offered, typically but not limited to materials such as PTFE, Halar and Tantalum.

Thermowell welding is in accordance with the requirements of ASME IX and BS EN 287. BS EN 288. In addition, single piece or welded thermowells may be anufactured to meet the requirements of NACE MR- 01-75 latest issue including where necessary appropriate heat treatment.

Special pockets, thermowells and flanges to customers own or international specifications can be supplied including those incorporating cover flange systems such as BS2765, Van-Stone and clamp flange styles. Flanges are supplied conforming to ANSI, BS, API or DIN specifications. Other typical customer required variations are those including such features as velocity collars, stepped bores and high grade surface finishes all of which may be detailed under option 99 in the ordering information.
